Prayer Concerns and Praises

“This is the confidence that we have in approaching God:
that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—
we know that we have what we asked of him.”
1 John 5:14-15

Join us in praying for these needs and praising Him for his answers... (updated 7 April 2020)

Prayer Requests

For God’s guidance as we train and equip God’s leaders to serve as principal and treasurer for the Vanuatu campus of South Pacific Nazarene Theological College (SPNTC).

~ Pray for our intern District Superintendents, Rev. Gideon, Rev. Meriam, and Rev. Keithly, as they take on responsibilities in starting new churches and encouraging the pastors on their zones.

Vanuatu District will be hosting the SPNTC Board of Trustees meeting this next year with leaders from the SPNTC campuses in Samoa, Fiji, and Solomon Islands during the first week of February 2020. Pray for God’s help in preparing and for his guidance in all the meetings.

For our national SPNTC teachers, Revs. Meriam Naunga, Gideon Sam, and Keithly Rena, as they equip and train pastors and leaders to serve in the Church of the Nazarene.

For our pastors to be Christ’s light and love in the communities where they serve.

For our SPNTC student pastors to be diligent in taking the 8 courses offered by SPNTC in 2020.

We would like to see Nazarene Churches planted in the northern islands of Vanuatu. Pray for pastors to be eager and willing to take the Good News of Jesus to where the Church is not yet

Pray for marriages in our churches that husbands and wives will be loyal to their spouses and will learn to love each other.  Cultural traditions and worldliness make it a challenge for marriages to survive.

~ Pray for our Nazarene pastors and churches as they reach out to their communities with the love of Christ that many people will turn to him and be added to the churches.

~ Pray that every pastor, student, church leader, Sunday School teacher, youth leader, church treasurer, board member, and church member will love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength.

~ Pray that lives will be transformed by the message of Christ and heart holiness in each community where our church is ministering - Malapoa, Black Sands, Eratap, Bellevue Park, Prima, Erakor, Teouma, Tanna villages (Lowangi, Inapoas, Imarapu, Inaoua, and others), Etas, and Ikaokao village on Aniwa Island.

~ Pray for the District Advisory Board and the mission team as they develop plans for continuing development of the Vanuatu District Center at Erakor.

~ Pray for our MK's to "walk in truth" everyday and always - the Isaac's children: Bennett (studying at the University of the South Pacific in Suva, Fiji), Ennrich, and Junior; our adult children: Joel and Bekah, (Anchorage, AK), Jeffrey and Kristen (Oscoda, MI), and Wesley (Grand Rapids, MI); and our grandchildren: Dora and Sylvia, Rosie, Samuel, Mary Ellen Joy, and Isaiah.

Ongoing prayer needs:

- Our spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental health and for God’s protection over our marriage relationship, as well as for our ministry partners, Peter and Jenny Isaac and family.

- Daily dependence on God, trust in his will and way, and radical obedience to his Word.

- Unity of heart and mind with our partners, church leaders, and Vanuatu Nazarenes.

- Land for our church and needed buildings.

- God to provide financially for the ministry in Vanuatu.

- That we would be faithful and intentional in making followers of the Lord Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.

- God to call men and women to leadership positions within the Church in Vanuatu.

That by the power of Christ we will “proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ” (Colossians 1:28,29).
